Fall Retreat
Each year the 7th and 8th graders take a fall retreat to a nearby camp as a chance to get away from the craziness of middle school life and have an extended amount of time with their Christian friends exploring their faith and how it relates to their everyday life. The weekend includes worship, games, a speaker, and other recreational activities.  Estimated cost:  $90 

Metamorphosis:
Metamorphosis is an in-town retreat for all 6th-8th graders.  The purpose of the retreat is for the youth to strengthen their Christian friendships and their relationship with God.  Middle schoolers will be divided into “Family Groups” of 8 - 10 youth their same grade and gender with an adult leader and stay in homes together for the weekend.   There is a program at church Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday night, and the youth spend time with their Family Groups discussing the topic of the three sessions, as well as participate in a Family Group activity to build stronger bonds with their Christian friends. 

8^th Grade Mission Trip
Each year, the 8th graders are given the opportunity to leave Raleigh and put their faith into action by serving others.  For several summers now we have worked with an organization called Center for Student Missions (CSM) who coordinates with local ministries in urban cities to provide us with ministry sites where we can be of help.  We have worked with CSM in Chicago, Washington, DC and Nashville.  This year's trip will be to Philadelphia during Spring Break.  Applications are available now.

The Great Escape:
One of the youths’ favorite all-time trips is to the Great Escape, a week-long church camp during the summer.  Our church always attends the Great Escape the week all year-round students are out of school. The Great Escape is the most incredible spiritual experience for middle schoolers.  It is here that our youth really begin to take an ownership of their faith and begin their own personal relationship with Christ.  The Great Escape is open to current 6th and 7th graders.  Registration forms will be available in late January.  Estimated cost:  $400.

Fun in the Son
Fun in the Son is our church camp trip for senior highs that we encourage our 8th graders to attend.  This trip helps jump start the youths’ faith before they enter high school as well as allows them to build relationships with the other high school students in youth group.   Go to the Senior High Ministry page for more information about this trip.
