  • Christmas Eve Ushers / Greeters Needed

We are combining the usher & greeter duties for Christmas Eve and we will need four teams (for the services at  4:30, 6:00, 8:00 & 11 PM). Serving on a team is easy, “on the job training”, and we are looking for teens and adults to volunteer.  You don’t have to currently be an usher or a greeter.  Look for the “sign up” board in the Atrium, starting Dec 6th , or  contact Doug Funk, 862-8521 Ext 17.

  • Poinsettias Are On Sale Now!

You have the opportunity to honor or recognize a loved one with a poinsettia in Grace Hall.  Please return the form to either the Information Center in the Atrium or the office no later than Sunday, December 7th, with your check made payable to Grace or cash in the amount of $10 per plant.  A listing of the donors and honorees will be published in the December 13/14 bulletin. Forms can be found in the Atrium on the Grace Happenings Wall.

You can pick up your poinsettia the weekend of Dec. 27/28.

  • Advent Candle Lighters Still Needed!!!

Please consider signing up yourself, your family, or your small group to light the Advent candles. Sign up sheets are in the Atrium on the Information counter.

  • Wrap Up Those Wrapping Supplies For Us!

Faith Trek will open their "Christmas Store" on December 14th.  Faith Trek children will be able to use their bucks to shop for Christmas gifts. We would love any old wrapping paper, gift bags, bows, and tissue paper that you may not be using this year.  Also, if you have any items to donate to the store we would love that too!  Please contact Ashley.

    * Join a list of members willing to be called and/or e-mailed for emergency prayer requests.

Our number is 862-8522, ext. 54.

  • Give the Gift of Hope

Deciding what to give those special people on our Christmas list each year can be perplexing.  You’ve been to the mall, combed the stores, and still come up empty.  What to do? Again this year we can help giving be more significant with Alternative Gifts.

December 6th and 7th and 13th and 14th, cards and information will be available in the atrium after each service.

You’ll find 7 ministries to choose from to support. Any donation amount is appreciated. We encourage you to give what you would normally spend on the gift for each person.  For each gift, a card will be sent describing the ministry that you have selected to honor your loved ones.  You can send the card, or we’ll take care of it for you. Fill out a gift form for each recipient and place it in the basket in the Atrium. Questions? Call Alicia Ross 781-4779 or Ginger Gentry 862-8521.

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’”

    Matthew 25:40

  • Christmas Stockings for Kids at Duke

Grace will be providing stocking stuffers for the patients at Duke Children’s Hospital again this year.  We need small items and gift cards for children of all ages.  Please help us make their day a little brighter by providing them with fun-filled stockings to wake up to.  Please contact Laura Adams, 848-6079 or Christy Nash.  We will have a Wish List at the information desk and a box marked “Duke Children’s Hospital Stocking Stuffers” to the right of the desk.

  • Angel Tree Gifts Due December 7th

Purchase the gift, paying attention to the wrapping instructions, attach the ornament to the gift and return it to the church no later than 3:00pm Sun., Dec. 7th. We will take care of the rest! Don’t miss this opportunity to make someone else’s Christmas brighter! For more information or to volunteer to assist at the sign up tables or gift sorting, contact Linda Thornton or 676-8139.

  • Faith Town Offering

Do you know where your child's offering goes?  Faith Town children contribute to a fund each weekend that allows us to reach out to children just like them.  Our biggest event of the year is a Shopping Experience in December where we shop for children in need at Christmas.  Please encourage and help your child remember their offering each weekend. We have been focusing on Stewardship in Faith Trek over the past few weekends.  Faith Trek children can drop off their offering outside room 119 and Faith Builder children can drop off their offering outside their classroom on their check in table.  If you have not picked up offering envelopes for your child and they would like a set, please pick up a box outside their classroom.

  • Got Ornaments?
Faith Town is excited that we’re going to have 2 trees this year, one in the Garage and 1 in the Faith Builders Chapel.  If you have any extra ornaments please bring them in for us to use!
