Bicycles

Operation Toy Box: 366-0049. Will take gently used toys,
clean them and send them to areas hit with disaster.
- Pedals for
Progress. This organization partners with organizations
in Latin American, African and South Pacific nations to sell the
bicycles inexpensively to working adults. All proceeds stay
within the individual country. There is often a bike drive
happening in our area.
Automobiles:

Wheels for Hope: 828-5468. This ministry of West Raleigh
Presbyterian Church takes working, used automobiles, restores
them and donates them to people in need through local
ministries.
Books:
- Grace Community Church Library. Drop
off in the Atrium in the Library Drop Box.

Christian Library of Raleigh: 846-8695. Will take
Christian books, videos and tapes.
Clothing:
Computers:
- Working computers
- Broken Computers
- Wake County Landfill at Durant Road.
856-6186. Drop off your computer equipment Monday-Saturday,
7 am- 4pm.
Furniture:

Faith Furnishings.
Accepts donated
furniture in good condition from people in the community and
delivers it to those in need. They accept couches, chairs, beds,
tables, dressers, appliances (sometimes), etc. If you have
furniture to donate, please call Pat Clement, 847-1913. Currently, Faith Furnishings picks up and
delivers furniture two Saturdays per month. They are always in
need of volunteers. The commitment is 3 to 4 hours one Saturday
every 2 to 3 months. Please e-mail

Glory to Glory House of Refuge. 829-9491. This
organization works with women who struggle with HIV/AIDS,
substance abuse and mental disorders grow mentally, physically
and spiritually.

Habitat
For Humanity Re-Use Center. 833-6768. Accepts donations
for new and used building materials and sells them to the
general public at a substantial discount. (Inventory includes
everything from wallpaper and appliances, to cabinets, flooring,
tile, fixtures, architectural details, and much more---
including the bathroom toilet and the kitchen sink! All proceeds
help build Habitat for Humanity homes in Wake County.
